Effective: 17 September 2026 Last updated: 17 September 2026

York PA Radon Pros is a free directory and a collection of homeowner guides about radon testing and mitigation in York and Adams County, Pennsylvania. This page sets out the terms on which the operator of York PA Radon Pros (“we,” “us”) makes the site at https://yorkparadonpros.com available to you. Using the site means you accept these terms, along with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Copyright Policy, and Website Accessibility page. If you do not accept them, the right course is not to use the site.

Who the site is for

The site is meant for adults. If you are under 18, use it only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf.

General information only, and your duty to check it

Everything published on York PA Radon Pros is general information and nothing more. It may be wrong. It may be incomplete or out of date. Some of it is supplied by third parties, and any of it may be changed or removed after publication. You are responsible for independently verifying anything you read here before you act on it, spend money on it, or hire someone because of it.

Radon itself shows why this matters. Levels differ from house to house, sometimes between neighbors on the same street, and they move with the season, the weather, and changes to the building. A guide written for homes in general cannot tell you what is happening in yours. Only a properly conducted test of your own home can do that.

Not safety, technical, or construction advice

Our guides discuss radon measurement, mitigation system design, building practices, and how to choose a contractor. None of it is professional safety, engineering, technical, or construction advice, and none of it replaces an on-site assessment by a qualified professional who has actually seen your home. Building codes, permit requirements, and electrical rules vary by municipality and change over time. Reading the site, or sending us a message through it, does not create a professional or client relationship with us.

Accuracy is not guaranteed

We work to get things right, but we have not independently verified every statement on the site in every case. That includes product specifications from manufacturers, business details, certifications, service areas, prices, and availability. All of these can change without notice. Before relying on any of it, confirm it directly with the manufacturer, merchant, business, agency, or other original source.

Directory listings

A listing on York PA Radon Pros is not an endorsement, a certification, or a verification of the business listed. It is not a guarantee of any kind about that business’s licensing, certification, insurance, qualifications, workmanship, pricing, availability, safety, or suitability for your job. The only exception is where a listing page expressly says otherwise, and then only to the extent it says so.

Listing information may be compiled from public sources and may be supplied by the businesses themselves. Pennsylvania requires people and firms who test for or mitigate radon for others to be certified by the Department of Environmental Protection, so check a company’s current certification directly with DEP. Check home improvement contractor registration with the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General where it applies, and confirm insurance, pricing, and scope of work with the business itself before you sign anything.

Under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act (47 U.S.C. § 230), we are not the publisher or speaker of content supplied by others. Listing details provided by businesses, customer reviews quoted or linked from other platforms, and any other third-party submissions or comments belong to the people who supplied them. We do not adopt them as our own statements.

Reviews, rankings, and recommendations

Reviews, rankings, “best of” lists, and recommendations on the site reflect our editorial judgment, based on the information available to us when we published them. They are opinions. They are not guarantees of the experience or results you will have with any business or product. As of the date above, no business pays to be listed, ranked, or reviewed on the site.

The risks are yours

Some of our content covers work a homeowner might attempt personally: drilling or coring through a concrete slab, sealing cracks and sump pits, installing fans, piping, and wiring, working from ladders and on roofs, and using power tools. These activities carry inherent risks, including serious injury, electric shock, falls, fire, property damage, and a finished system that fails to lower radon or creates a new hazard in the home.

If you take on any activity or use any product mentioned on the site, you assume all risk of injury, damage, or loss that results. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions. Get proper training before you start. Comply with every applicable law, code, and permit requirement where you live. Use appropriate safety equipment. If a job is beyond your training, hire a certified professional.

No promised results, and your own responsibility

We do not guarantee that following anything on the site will produce a particular result, including a particular radon reading, a passed inspection, a successful home sale, or a satisfactory contractor. Your decisions, purchases, hiring choices, projects, and activities remain your own responsibility.

Information and links from others

We are not responsible for the accuracy or continued availability of information supplied by businesses, manufacturers, retailers, government agencies, public records, or other third parties. Links to other sites and mentions of other businesses are provided for convenience; they are not endorsements, and those sites and businesses operate under their own terms and policies. Any transaction or agreement you enter into with a business you found through the site is solely between you and that business.

How our content is produced

We may use editorial, research, transcription, and AI-assisted tools in producing and maintaining content. Content is reviewed under our editorial standards before it is published. None of this changes any other disclaimer on this page.

Corrections

We make reasonable efforts to be accurate, and we would rather hear about a mistake than leave it standing. If you spot a factual error, a closed business, or something that has gone out of date, tell us through the Contact page and we will review it promptly.

Ownership of content

The text, photographs, graphics, design, and code on the site belong to York PA Radon Pros unless credited otherwise, and are protected by copyright and other laws. The Copyright Policy explains what you may and may not do with them. © 2026 York PA Radon Pros.

Acceptable use

Use the site lawfully. Do not interfere with its operation, attempt to gain unauthorized access to it or to the systems behind it, introduce malicious code, or use it to break any law or infringe anyone’s rights. Automated access is covered separately in the next section.

Automated Access, Scraping, and Republication

Without our prior written permission, and except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law, the following are prohibited: systematic reproduction, scraping, crawling, harvesting, or extraction of content by automated means; republishing, syndicating, or redistributing the content in whole or in substantial part on any other site, feed, or platform; and using the content to create, train, fine-tune, or populate a substantially similar content database, dataset, directory, or artificial intelligence or machine-learning model.

We may use technical measures to enforce this section, such as robots directives, rate limiting, and blocking. Requests for permission go through the Contact page.

Feedback and messages you send us

Suggestions, corrections, and ideas you send us are treated as non-confidential. We may use them freely, with no obligation to you.

If you send us material intended for the site through our contact form, such as listing details, photographs, or a correction, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide license to use, edit, publish, and display it on and in connection with the site, and you confirm that you have the right to send it. We have no obligation to publish anything we receive, and we may edit or remove anything at any time.

Warranty disclaimer

THE SITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE OFFERED IN THEIR PRESENT CONDITION (“AS IS”), WITH ALL FAULTS, AND WITH NO PROMISE THAT THEY WILL BE AVAILABLE AT ANY PARTICULAR TIME. AS FAR AS THE LAW ALLOWS, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Limit on our liability

AS FAR AS THE LAW ALLOWS, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE, YOUR RELIANCE ON ITS CONTENT, OR YOUR DEALINGS WITH ANY BUSINESS LISTED OR MENTIONED ON IT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS CONNECTED WITH THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF US $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US TO USE THE SITE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

For nearly every reader that second figure is zero, because the site is free. Some jurisdictions do not permit certain limits; where that is so, these limits apply as far as local law permits.

Indemnification

If a third party brings a claim against us because of your misuse of the site, your breach of these terms, or your violation of someone else’s rights, you agree to defend us and to cover our resulting losses and costs, including reasonable attorneys’ fees.

Attorneys’ fees

In any action to enforce these terms, the prevailing party is entitled to recover its reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs from the other party.

Ending access

We may suspend or end anyone’s access to the site, with or without notice, for conduct that we consider a breach of these terms or harmful to the site or its readers.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms as the site develops. The date at the top of the page shows when the current version took effect, and continuing to use the site after a revision means you accept it.

Governing law and venue

These terms, and any dispute connected with the site, are governed by the laws of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any claim or dispute must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania. You consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts and waive any objection based on inconvenient forum. We may, however, seek injunctive relief for intellectual property or scraping violations in any court of competent jurisdiction.

If part of these terms fails

If a court finds any provision of these terms unenforceable, that provision will be enforced as far as it lawfully can be, and the rest remain in effect. These terms, together with the policies named at the top of the page, are the entire agreement between you and us about the site and replace any earlier understanding.

Getting in touch

Every question about these terms, and every notice given under them, should come through the Contact page, which is the channel we monitor for that purpose.
